The Living Rooms Resource Hub

What are Living Rooms? They are Resource, Art & Info Hubs coordinated by the Village in Oakland in public spaces throughout Oakland, Berkeley and SF. Since Jan 2016, the Village's Feed The People program has provided hot meals, clean drinking water and groceries to unhoused communities. Mid 2016, we expanded to include provisions distribution. In 2020 we expanded again to include harm reduction supplies and PPE. In summer 2021 Feed The People shifted our food distro services from curbside communities, to neutral public places like parks and plazas. We call these spaces Living Rooms, have expanded our offerings and, extended the space to serve housed residents in need.
