Paint & Educate - OakStop

Come join Urban Strategies Council, Hyphy & Educated, and Elevate Youth California as they host the Paint & Educate event for a time of fun, radical community healing, laughter, and learning. The aim is to foster a safe space where you can express how COVID 19 impacted your life, you will be able to have the opportunity to share your story and related events through art and open conversation with other attendees. The pandemic has affected us all and we want to allow a safe space for gathering & releasing pent-up emotions and to allow the artistic side to show. As a messenger of our community, we also want to promote holistic ways to combat pandemic and health issues moving forward. The timings for Middle and High school folks is 11:30am - 2:00pm and 2:30 am - 5:00pm for young adults and up.  Deeply Rooted youth fellows from Deeply Rooted Collaborative will engage people on the Oakland General Plan update process for 2045.
